examiners agree that mistrust between shore and ship management can be improved by allowing
senior ranks to work onshore while on leave to understand and explain the real situations that
happens on ship to shore staff and allow open and unrestricted communication between the
two teams without any negative implications, whereas 8% of the respondents feel that there is
no mistrust between shore and senior ranks on ship.
